October is here, which means pumpkin frenzy is in full swing! Sure, we love pumpkin spice lattes too, but why not try a different pumpkin-flavored treat this fall? Rachel Adams, owner of Rachel’s Café & Creperie in Lancaster, will be whipping up a special batch of pumpkin cheesecake crepes now through December to celebrate the harvest season. This luscious delight starts with a cinnamon and sugar infused crepe batter, which once swirled and browned, is layered with pumpkin sweetened cream cheese, graham cracker crumbs, brown sugar and pecans. The crepe is then wrapped and garnished with a dusting of powdered sugar, a dollop of whipped cream and a few more pecans for good measure—all ready to be savored along with a delightfully nutty Nutella hot chocolate. As if that’s not enough to make you dash down to Rachel’s, the restaurant is also debuting at a new location on West Walnut Street this month. We’re sure you’ll want to stop by to check out the new creperie and enjoy this autumnal eat.
