The Popcorn Hat Players Young Acting Company presents The Wonderful Wizard of Oz written by Sean Adams, an original work based on the classic book by L. Frank Baum.
Follow the adventures of a Kansas farm girl named Dorothy and her pet dog Toto, as they are swept away by a cyclone into Munchkin Country in the magical Land of Oz. Granted a pair of enchanted silver shoes by the Good Witch of the North, Dorothy befriends a Scarecrow, a Tin Woodman, and a Cowardly Lion in her quest to get to the Emerald City and find her way back home. Many trials await them including battling the Wicked Witch of the West and her Winged Monkeys. One of America’s most famous and truly loved fairytales!
Directed by Melissa Nicholson, the cast of The Wonderful Wizard of Oz is composed of both former and current students of the Gamut Theatre Academy, as well as newcomers to the Gamut Theatre.
