Town & Country Garden Club of Lancaster - Bus Trip to Winterthur Museum and Longwood Gardens

Town and Country Garden Club of Lancaster invites you to join us on a Bus Trip to Winterthur Museum and Longwood Gardens on Thursday, December 12, 2019. This fun-filled day starts with a visit to Winterthur Museum (11:00 – 3:00 PM) where we will have a magnificent holiday tour of Henry Francis du Pont’s mansion. Included will be the exhibit Costuming THE CROWN featuring 40 iconic costumes from the beloved Emmy® award-winning Netflix series, a dramatized history of the reign of Queen Elizabeth II. Lunch on your own - Pavilion Restaurant.

Longwood Gardens will be our next stop (3:30 to 7:30 PM). where we will be dropped off at the entrance. Decorated for Christmas this will be an on your own visit. Some highlights are the Organ Sing-Along at 4:00 pm, Garden Railway, Strolling Musicians, beautiful indoor flower/garden displays and of course the outdoor illuminated trees, glowing orbs, and a shimmering tunnel of lights. Dinner on your own – Options: The Café, Beer Garden (weather permitting) and the 1906 dining room (1906 requires advance reservations).

DEADLINE for registration is November 30, 2019. Cost: $100 members/$105 non-members.

Includes all admissions, tips, snacks & water. Lunch and Dinner on your own at the venues.

Bus leaves from Church of the Apostles 1850 Marietta Ave, Lancaster, PA 17603 promptly at 9:30 AM (please arrive 10 mins early) and returns approx. 8:45 PM.
