Celebrate farmland preservation with Lancaster Farmland Trust by riding in our Pedal to Preserve 2018. This is a charitable, fundraising event.
The Trust is a private, nonprofit, 501c3 organization that helps farmers preserve their farmland. When a farm is preserved, it cannot be developed for residential, industrial, or commercial use, forever. The farm family exchanges their development rights on the land for the ability to keep their land in agriculture forever.
With distances of 6, 20, and 51 miles, these three leisure biking routes provide scenic views of more than 75 family-owned, preserved farms in the heart of beautiful Amish country in Lancaster County, Pennsylvania. For families, casual riders, and experienced cyclists, this event offers fun for all ages and abilities!
Pedal to Preserve 2018 is a leisure ride. Marked routes, on-course support vehicles, coffee, breakfast snacks, rest stops, and lunch are included in your registration. All proceeds benefit the Trust and farmland preservation.
