Open House in Cumberland County

Come to the Penn State Extension, 310 Allen Road, Carlisle on March 24 from 2PM – 4PM to learn about all the various research-based programs and events that extension has to offer the community. The Cumberland County K9 will be presenting a demonstration of their skills. Baby chicks, alpacas, and other animals will be present for those interested in learning care and handling. There will be food safety demonstrations and literature available for reference. All are welcome! This event provides fun facts and educational activities for all ages. You will learn about animals, dairy processes, nutrition and food safety, water resources, commercial horticulture, Master Gardener programming, home flower and vegetable gardening, 4-H opportunities, recycling, conservation, agricultural land preservation, pests, and more.
