Munchkin Science – Rocks Rock!

Munchkins will learn the science of rocks with Naturalist Ann Strauss by collecting and testing rocks. After we share a book that describes how rocks form, we will go outside to collect rocks. Once we have our collection, we will study them through hands-on scientific testing. Kids will leave with a basic understanding of where rocks form and some of the properties of rocks that can help to identify each type. This program is geared for ages 3 through 5. Children over age 5 are welcome if accompanying younger siblings.
