Manor Winds Quintet in Concert
to
Market Square Presbyterian Church S. 2nd Street, Harrisburg, Pennsylvania 17101
Arts on the Square, a series of musical and artistic events, will present the woodwind quintet Manor Winds at historic Market Square Presbyterian Church, 20 S. Second Street, Harrisburg, on Friday, March 13, at 7:30 p.m. The performance will take place in the intimate setting of Geneva Hall, a late 19th century addition to the original church building.
Lancaster-based Manor Winds is comprised of five musicians who come together to rehearse in a historic farmhouse on Manor Street. Since their formation in the spring of 2016, they have given over 40 performances throughout the southeastern Pennsylvania. At home in traditional and non-traditional settings, Manor Winds strives for professional performances of both standard and modern wind quintet repertoire. All of the performers are teachers and members of Pennsylvania’s best symphony orchestras. Selections range from traditional to edgy modern pieces.
Tickets are available online at www.marketsquarechurch.org/concerts or at the door on the night of the performance. Adults are $15; students $10; children under 12, free.
The church will provide parking in the adjacent city-owned Market Square Garage. Access to the church building is directly from the first level of the garage or from the Event Entrance on South Second Street.
