Have you ever spent time watching ant hills in your yard or at the park? Naturalist Ellen Blazer will show you how to make your own ant farm and collect ants to populate it. All necessary supplies will be provided, and you will learn step-by-step how to make the farm. We will gather the right kind of dirt to fill the farms, then finally search for ant colonies to add to them. We will learn all about ant anatomy and behavior along the way, then discuss food and maintenance for your colony. You can then take home your DIY ant farm and watch the ants tunnel and grow!
