Joy H. Calico is a professor of musicology at Vanderbilt University and editor-in-chief of the Journal of the American Musicological Society. An expert on German music of the 20th century, she will guide Susquehanna faculty and students through a public recreation of Arnold Schoenberg’s famous “Scandal Concert” of 1913, when the Viennese public reacted so fiercely to the experimentalism of Schoenberg and his contem¬poraries that the second half of the program had to be abandoned.
