Featuring Damien Sneed, Essence of Joy Alumni Singers and Messiah College Choirs

Multi-genre recording artist Damien Sneed will lead a weekend festival celebrating the history of black gospel music in America. He is the 2014 recipient of the Sphinx Medal of Excellence, and the festival will culminate in this concert featuring Sneed, the Essence of Joy Alumni Singers directed by Anthony T. Leach, Messiah’s United Voices of Praise gospel choir and Messiah’s Concert Choir, as well as many student and community choirs, all joined to form a massive gospel choir. Come experience the rich heritage and theology of black gospel music at Gospel Explosion 2020.
