The Day of the Dead
Lebanon Valley College North College Ave., Annville, Pennsylvania 17003-1400
This exhibition will explore
the imagery connected to the
Mexican celebration known as El Día de los Muertos and its relationship to conceptions of death and family heritage. We will examine the syncretism between pre-Columbian beliefs and practices and post-Spanish conquest Catholicism. The Gallery was the recipient of a 2013 President’s Innovation Fund Grant for this exhibition. Special events and workshops will be held across campus in conjunction with the exhibition.
