Cinderella A Musical
to
York Learning Center 300 7th Avenue
This much loved and internationally known tale has thousands of versions worldwide. The TAFE adaptation was written sixteen years ago by two York residents, Diane Crews and Jacquie Sutton.
As with all adaptations this telling is unique. It follows Grimm's story line with enhancements of its own. For example we usually don't get to know much about the Prince. He dances, finds the shoe, and gets the girl. In Cinderella A Musical we get to find out what he's like, and even some of his favorite foods!
Bringing this original/ancient tale to life is a cast of thirty-five between the ages of seven to fifty three, and staff and crews numbering thirty two. Playing Cinderella is Grace Gladfelter, 21 of York . The Prince is being portrayed by Chris Brown, 22 of McSherrystown. Our 'Fairy Godmother like' character Drucilla, is played by Elizabeth Reed, 33 of Dover.
