Christmas Candlelight Service at Susquehanna University
to
Weber Chapel Auditorium University Ave, Susquehanna University, Selinsgrove, Pennsylvania 17870
The annual Christmas Candlelight Service is one of Susquehanna's most cherished traditions, as more than 1,600 members of the SU and surrounding communities gather in Weber Chapel. The service includes candle lighting and carols, as well as traditional readings, songs and prayers in celebration of the season. University Chaplain Scott Kershner presides and preaches, assisted by a faculty lector, three student deacons and the Rev. Dan Powell, pastor of St. Pius X Church in Selinsgrove and spiritual advisor to Susquehanna's Catholic community. Susquehanna’s President L. Jay Lemons continues the tradition of reading the Prologue to John’s Gospel.
