Build a hand-crafted bird feeder for Dad! Penn State Master Gardeners in Cumberland County are hosting a children’s workshop on Saturday, June 9, 2018, between 10:00 a.m. and 12:00 noon at the Penn State Extension office, 310 Allen Road, Carlisle.
At this workshop, children can build and take home a hand-crafted bird feeder to give to Dad on Father’s Day, which is Sunday, June 17. The Master Gardeners will also help youngsters make a special card for Dad and learn about different bird species.
This activity is recommended for youth ages 4 to 12, and a parent or guardian must remain with the child during the workshop. The fee of $10.00 covers the cost of all supplies, including birdfeeder materials and craft supplies, to complete the project. Supplies are limited. Pre-registration is requested and will save your spot, but walk-ins will be accepted if supplies are still available. You may come anytime between the hours of 10:00 a.m. and 12:00 noon on June 9 to participate. To register, visit https://extension.psu.edu/fathers-day-bird-feeder-childrens-workshop.
