Bicycle South Central PA announces that registration is now open for the 3rd Annual Regional Bike Summit. It will be held March 23 and 24, 2018 at Marketview Arts, 35 W. Philadelphia St, York PA. The theme is “Making Connections.”
This summit is for anyone interested in making cycling safer and more common in South Central Pennsylvania. This includes municipal planners, tourism promoters, health advocates, on and off-road riders, bike club members, bike shop representatives, bicycle advocates, and more. Don’t miss this opportunity to learn about inexpensive solutions for making your community, town or university more bike friendly.
This year BSCPA is offering a 2 day program, for the convenience of professionals in the field as well as volunteer advocates. Choose one day or both.
The BSCPA Summit will bring together people involved in all aspects of planning and bicycling in order to explore ways all can work together to make bicycling safer and more popular. Topics include learning about how to make small changes that produce big results, planning educational programs designed to teach both bike riders and drivers how to safely coexist on the roads, hearing about funding sources for bicycle infrastructure and trails, and more. There will also be an opportunity to talk face to face with the PennDOT Statewide Bike Coordinator and staff from PennDOT District 8.
Registration is only $15 per person, which includes lunch. The registration deadline is March 16. After that, registration is $20. The agenda, Eventbrite online registration link and registration form can be found at www.bicyclesouthcentralpa.org.
