Antique Art & Craft Fest, Biathlon and Riverfest

The lower Susquehanna Rivertownes will host an amazing weekend on Saturday, June 27 and Sunday, June 28. On Saturday, the Susquehanna Valley Chamber of Commerce will host its 35th annual Antique, Art and Craft Show in Columbia’s Locust Street Park, complete with more than 200 vendors, live music provided first by the Twin Rose Community Band from 10:30 to 11:30 in the park gazebo and then Sweet Life from noon to 1:30, great food, family-friendly entertainment and a Civil War encampment. Across the River in Wrightsville, the Lower Susquehanna Riverkeeper will have its fifth annual Susquehanna Biathlon consisting of trail running and paddling on the River with registration starting at 8:30 AM at the John Wright Restaurant, 234 North Front Street. On Sunday the 28th, Rivertownes PA will top off the weekend with its annual Riverfest at the John Wright Restaurant from 5 to 9 PM complete with live music, food, information about the area and lighting of fires on the piers of the original bridge, the burning of which stopped the Confederate advance in 1863 and led to the battle of Gettysburg. Free parking & free shuttle service for the Antique, Art & Craft Show is available from Glatfelter Field located along Rt. 462 at 12th Street in Columbia. Both Riverfest and the Antique, Art & Craft show are FREE, although Rivertownes asks for a two-dollar donation, to friends old and new and are held rain or shine.
