2nd ANNUAL LATIN AMERICAN FESTIVAL ANNOUNCES ITS HEADLINE ENTERTAINERS
Lancaster, PA, Aug. 22, 2014 -- The Latin American Cultural Center of Lancaster presents the second annual Latin American Festival to be held on Saturday, Sept. 13, 2014 at Lancaster’s Binn’s Park, N. Queen Street, Lancaster, Pa. from noon-9PM. The festival will feature food, live music and entertainment from several Latin American countries. Admission is free. The festival is suitable for people of all ages. Attendance is expected to reach or surpass 10,000 people.
The festival begins in Binn’s Park at noon. The dedication ceremony and presentation of flags is at 2PM followed by live dance and musical performances. Food and merchandise vendors will be set up along N. Queen St. and there will be face painting, piñatas and balloon twisting for the children. The closing ceremony, in Binn’s Park, will take place at 9PM.
The entertainment schedule will include bachata headliners VENA from the Dominican Republic and salsero Giro Lopez from Puerto. Returning is last year’s festival favorite group, Andes Manta, with the added dance group Aya Zamara. Also performing is the mariachi band Tapatío and the dazzling dance ensemble Samba NY. The festival will again feature local, live tango, merengue, urban and reggaeton musical selections for your dancing and listening pleasure.
