For as long as I can remember, I have had a love for the wedding industry. The dresses, the flowers, the dancing—I love it all, though as a self-proclaimed organizational junky, my favorite part is the planning. My first ever job at the age of 15 was waitressing at a yacht club in Maryland where we hosted numerous weddings, bridal showers, and other events throughout the year. This is where I found my love of event planning and quickly fell into a role of helping my boss organize weddings. From keeping the bride happy to creating the perfect centerpieces, I wanted to be involved in it all.
While I live for the planning aspects of weddings, I know it can be super overwhelming for many. In a year full of curveballs and limitations, having a good resource was and is more important than ever for many newly engaged couples. As a newly engaged woman myself, I am on that emotional roller coaster with you all navigating the what ifs, the booked vendors, the multi back-up plan approach. Having been a 10 time bridesmaid, I have been around the Pennsylvania wedding industry for a long time and know how great the businesses are, but have been even more blown away by their tireless effort to pivot and make dreams come true—even if they look a little different than we had planned. Fellow couples, we are in good hands!
