Who has been your biggest influence?
Growing up I had a lot of amazing teachers who had a positive influence on me. Today, it’s my yoga students who influence me most. Watching them show up to their mats, do the work, and realize transformation inspires me so much to continue to do the same.
What motivated you to be involved in your community?
We get great by making people great. I heard this saying once and it really inspired me. I believe in an abundance mindset and feel like there are more than enough resources and opportunities to go around. The more people we can connect with, share information with and learn from, the better for everyone. I didn’t grow up in a really supportive family, so I really appreciate the support I get from the people in my community and it’s important to me to pay that forward.
What advice would you give your younger self?
Think bigger and then just do it.
What’s your idea of self care?
Getting things done! If I have a big to-do list hanging over my head, I feel so much better after an hour of focused work time - it is the best self care. Once that’s done, I love a good pool day!
What message do you have for the future generations of women?
You are the best at being you. Embrace your unique qualities.
