It was always fate that Taylor and Chase DiPietro were meant to be together. They grew up five minutes away from each other, in Littlestown, and shared plenty of mutual friends. Shortly after Chase asked Taylor on a formal date and they began officially dating, he transferred to her same college (York College), and the rest is history.
“Ever since then, we have been inseparable,” Taylor says.
On October 12, 2024, the couple officially tied the knot at Hazelwood Weddings, and Taylor says their special day was nothing short of a fairytale, something she had dreamt of ever since she was young.
The couple wanted their wedding to be centered on the love they have for each other, so they opted for a neutral, classy theme with minimalist vibes.
“I loved the look of a neutral wedding with gold decor and champagne bridesmaid dresses, but I wanted to add some sort of color scheme that would pop,” she says. “I was inspired by a color palette that I came across called ‘Peach Fuzz,’ which included some pinks as well. As soon as I saw that color palette, I was sold!”
Taylor says the minimalistic decor and details she curated—like floral bud vases matching the bouquets, gold accents and a small dog figurine next to the cake—represent her living space, lifestyle and self. The dog figurine was extra meaningful.
“I added the dog figurine next to our cake to represent our dog Tucker. He is the best dog and fur baby, but we chose not to have him come to the wedding because it would be very overwhelming for him,” she says. “I wanted to be able to include him because he represents one of the first big commitments we made to each other. We rescued him right after we got our first apartment and wanted to make sure he was included in some aspect.”
Another significant detail of the day, Taylor says, was the time she and Chase spent together before the ceremony, exchanging private vows and the first look. She said they wanted to be able to share an intimate moment alone, and she is “so happy” they made the choice to do so.
During the ceremony, the officiant had them both stop and take a moment and look into the crowd, to acknowledge and appreciate the family and friends who were in attendance.
“It was really heartwarming … It felt really special because she reminded us that our wedding was the only time that those specific people would be all together at the same place,” Taylor says.
Taylor says the entire day felt truly “surreal,” especially walking down the aisle to Chase. She says they’re currently “loving the newlywed bliss” and their admiration continually grows for each other.
Their future plans include exploring new places together, walking their dog, spending time with family in their recently purchased first home and a trip to Italy. She says both work busy schedules (Taylor as a board certified behavior analyst and Chase as a financial analyst), so they also deeply cherish quiet and relaxing weekends together as well.
“We are both so thankful that we were able to have the wedding of our dreams. Our wedding day definitely flew by, but we made sure to stop and take everything multiple times throughout the night,” she says. “ Our vendor team was truly amazing and took care of us, and I also highly recommend having a private last dance. It was so special to be able to come together, just the two of us, at the end of the night.”
