“Even though everyone thought we were crazy, we've always dreamt of a snowy winter wedding day and we got just that. We tied the knot on a wintry snow-covered January day. Although it was quite cold outside, the cozy atmosphere at The Booking House and the fireplace crackling during the ceremony and reception kept our hearts and bodies warm.”

THEIR LOVE STORY
We started dating in high school when I was 17 and Cody was 16. We both feel so blessed to have found “our person” so early in life. We’ve been together through it all – through life’s biggest milestones – which I think not only makes our relationship strong but also more meaningful. We can actually say that we grew up together. I hope 50 years from now when we are old and wrinkly we can look into each other’s eyes and still see ourselves at 17 and 16 – youthful, fresh-faced, in blissful ignorance.

THEIR INSPIRATION
If I had to describe our wedding vibe, it would be a mix of moody and wintery coziness with a modern industrial feel. Between the floral, candles, fireplace and color scheme, I was inspired to add warmth and charm to even a frosty January evening. Although winter weddings are not traditional, Cody and I had always talked about getting married in the winter. We liked that it was “different.” We even got snow on our wedding day. If rain on your wedding day is good luck, then snow has got to be really good luck, right?
THEIR FAVORITE PART
Kaity: The moment right after we were pronounced husband and wife. Pure bliss.
Cody: Our first look. I’ll never forget how happy I was in that moment.
THEIR ADVICE
Focus on what really matters. The most important part of my wedding day was that I got married and got to spend the rest of my life with my very best friend. Remember that your wedding is fun, like really fun, but marriage is better. Take the time to appreciate the surroundings. At some point during the evening while everyone is having dinner, partaking in separate conversations amongst themselves, take a moment to look around at all the people who are there to support and celebrate you two, and take it all in.
