Adrienne and Daquan met in college, and Daquan proposed during his graduation from graduate school. Adrienne’s mother was able to see the engagement before she passed away a few months later from cancer. Daquan liked choosing the vendors for their wedding, while Adrienne was more interested in the details. The theme of their day was rustic and romantic, with wooden signs and eucalyptus paired with shades of nude, blush, green, and gold. They honored Adrienne’s late parents by putting their photos on the front seats for the ceremony. They also had a memory table to honor those who could only be there in spirit. They served his and hers drinks that were their favorite cocktails. They wrote each other notes to read before the ceremony, which was so special. Adrienne chose her gorgeous dress because it made her feel beautiful and she didn’t want to take it off. She went with minimal jewelry, since her dress had a higher neckline. They did a two-tiered cake: lemon cake with raspberry filling and vanilla cake with lemon and raspberry filling. They also had a donut cake that was a huge hit. The best part of the day was their vows they wrote themselves, and Adrienne said marrying her best friend was what all this planning was for. They honeymooned across Europe, starting in Spain and cruising to Gibraltar, France, and Italy.
