This tent is perfect for little glampers – indoors or out – as a reading nook or place to “camp” indoors. It’s cute and cozy enough for parents to sit in the shade and do some reading too. Perfectly customizable by using a sheet or fabric of choice, yet easy enough to put together in an afternoon to enjoy for many days to come.
Materials:
2 - 1" x 2" x 8' lengths of pine cut each in half to form four 4' lengths for tent poles 1 - 3/4" x 48" hardwood dowels ¾-inch spade drill bit Queen sized sheet (or fabric of your choice)
Instructions:
1. Using the 3/4-inch spade bit, drill a hole through each pine pole about 6 inches from top.
2. Insert dowel rod through the holes.
3. Drape with sheet of in the color/pattern of your choice. You can adhere the sheet more permanently by getting creative with ribbons, elastic bands, etc to the bottom of the A-frame.
*You can also paint the wood decoratively like the birch pattern created here or other colors/patterns to suit your style.
