Pineapples are a symbol for a welcoming home. Not to mention the year’s trendiest fruit (seriously, they’re everywhere). Here are the do-it-yourself instructions for an adorable housewarming present, a champagne pineapple. Covered with Ferrero Rocher chocolates and tissue paper, this project is arguably the cutest way to enjoy a bit of bubbly.
What you’ll need:
-gold tissue paper
-scissors
-hot glue gun and glue sticks
-bottle of champagne
-24-pack of Ferrero Rocher chocolates
-green tissue paper
-green twine
How to do it:
-
Cut squares of gold tissue paper that are larger than each chocolate, about 3 inches by 3 inches. Hot glue each tissue paper square to the bottom of the brown paper cup attached to each chocolate. Crumple the edges of the gold tissue paper slightly.
-
Hot glue each tissue-papered chocolate to the bottle, being sure to distribute them evenly. Glue extra tissue paper squares (also slightly crumpled) to the bottle to fill in any gaps.
-
Cut six long leaf shapes out of green tissue paper. Glue the bases of the leaves to the neck of the bottle. Wrap green twine around the bases of the leaves to cover where they are adhered.
-
If desired, create a gift tag and attach it to the neck of the bottle.
