The Left Bank
Continuing the tradition of one of York’s finest eateries and bars, chef Sean Arnold and his wife, Mandy, rise to the occasion by winning the 2019 best cocktails and fine dining categories. This restaurant’s 25-year-old legacy is in good hands, with their values based on fresh food with an abundance of flavor as well as a fine variety of wines ranging from sweet to dry, and a gorgeous array of cocktails to choose from, offering something for everybody. One of the most notable aspects of The Left Bank is happy hour, which is every Monday through Friday from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. The current cocktails during this time period are only $8 and customers can choose from the Dark and Stormy, an LB Manhattan with Maker’s Mark, the Hot and Dirty with house made pepper vodka, a mojito, Edelweiss, and an LB bourbon old fashioned. They also have various white, red, and rose wines for $7 and all draft beers for $5. The bar bites on special include the legendary LB calamari with banana pepper cream sauce for $8, an LB Caesar for $5, a mini burger for $5, and tuna tartar for $9. So, if you're in the York area and are looking for a happy hour to spend an evening at, experience the Best of York at The Left Bank.

If you're looking for a rustic yet sophisticated venue for an upcoming wedding, look no further than Historic Ashland. The 2019 winner for best venue, Historic Ashland is known for the beautiful property, which was founded by William Penn, Pennsylvania’s founder. The current owners, Jeffrey and Patti Nadu, transformed the property with new amenities and modern luxuries while simultaneously highlighting the rich history of the land.
Historic Ashland has three main buildings, the Mansion, the Lodge, and the Cottage. The Mansion is an ideal place for the bridal party to get ready for their big day with private suites, hair and makeup salons, and even a gourmet kitchen. The Cottage is a modern and masculine space for the groomsmen to get ready for the wedding ceremony with a full wooden bar, mini-fridge and original stone and wooden breams. Last but not least, The Lodge is a 10,000-square-foot space with breathtaking chandeliers, stone fireplaces, high ceilings, and a beautiful patio to host about 150 people for the wedding reception. According to Leah Nadu, the property's venue manager, “Ashland was created to be everything that other venues are not.
It is a classic, timeless event space with the ability to appeal to any style. It is not just another renovated barn, but a property embracing all styles, details, and trends. Ashland encompasses it all: private grounds, multiple event spaces, vast photo opportunities, on-site parking, present and accommodating staff, and much more. By combining the property’s historic charm with today’s amenities, Ashland is a distinct place for any momentous event.”
Small Star Art House is a unique art house that exhibits independent, foreign language, and documentary films curated for York.
