Yuletide Trail
Follow the lights and Christmas-spirited decorations along a half-mile magical trail, accessible to all participants, and stroll into the holiday spirit. The trail wanders through an astonishing 600,000 Christmas lights; several decorative holiday scenes; and five heated, enclosed pavilions designed to warm you up and help you continue down the beautifully lit trail. With various forms of animation, train displays, food, and the famous Mr. Claus himself, the Christmas Magic trail brings the holiday season to life for holiday partakers, both young and old. The event, Christmas Magic, is now in its 32nd season after its start in 1984. Interesting fact: The event was created in response to an energy saving push to preserve energy in homes but also keep the holiday spirit alive and bright for all families and locals to enjoy.

We’re All Mad Here
Just like the Cheshire Cat from Lewis Carroll’s original novel Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland, our overly excited and slightly mischievous grin has grown bigger and bigger with the anticipation of Mad Cap & Co.’s grand opening this past September. The new Lancaster shop, residing in the space that once held the vintage flares of Mommalicious on North Queen Street, will now hold fifteen independent and unique merchants combined under one roof. But it gets better. One of the merchants Mad Cap & Co. will feature is an old friend and familiar face of the Lancaster shopping scene—Mommalicious. In collaboration, the primarily vintage and homemade goods boutique will also feature merchants such as 40th Parallel Leather Goods, Roaring Dog Studio, Deb Seilski, Renaissance Chimney, My Aunt Debbie, Lake & Cabin, Miller Cast, Wood N Glass, Studioweit, Madcap Mercantile, Sanctuary, Wise Oak Herbs, Tortoise & The Hare, and Hello Niccoco.

Save by the Vault
This is news we couldn’t keep locked up. Since its first opening and renovation on Edgar St. York, in what was once a bank building, The Vault Pizza & Deli has now expanded its business by opening a second location in York on Carlisle Road, bringing their delicious pizza and beer combination with them. The business began as simply a dream for owner Athanasios Margetas, but was soon turned into a full-service restaurant and business with the assistance and support of the Margetas family members–father, Peter; mother, Spiridoula; and brother, George. Those same family values have been instilled into the original Vault location and have helped to shape the business into what it is today.

We’re thankful @lelhajj tagged us in her fall party pic.
“It’s chilly but a fall birthday party will be happening today and these guys are pretty pumped about it!"
Facebook reader poll:
Turkey or ham for Christmas dinner? It was a tie between just ham and both.
Amanda Brunish commented, "Ham, definitely ham. One time my mom said she was going to make turkey and it nearly caused a family revolt!”
