Lebanese, Please
Home cooking goes international at Lemoyne’s new eatery, Mezza Cafe. Two sisters, Cozette Roderick and Monique Khouri, have opened a full restaurant location of their West Shore Farmers’ Market stand in the nearby State Street Plaza. By taking their treasured family recipes and preparing them with fresh ingredients, they are giving Central Pennsylvania a taste of authentic Lebanese food. Choose from sandwiches such as a Falafel Cowboy or Chicken with Taboulleh and Hummus, or build your own mezza plate from a selection of couscous, grape leaves, spinach pie and other flavorful options. Did we mention that Mezza Café is BYOB? If you love ethnic eats, this is your ideal spot to stop during the busy winter months, relax and enjoy a delicious lunch or dinner.

Community Corner
Many families in the Susquehanna Valley would benefit from a little extra help around the holidays: neighbors who recently lost a family member, relatives searching for work, even those we have never met but know are struggling. Share the Blessing, a not-for-profit organization based in Elizabethtown, supports those families by providing the means to purchase much needed food, clothing or gifts. To share in this philanthropic effort, you can nominate a family to receive charitable support or make a donation to Share the Blessing. And, although the organization is at its busiest during the holiday season, it continues its work throughout the year. Through such charitable efforts, local families are able to celebrate the holiday with more peace and joy.
