Pumpkin Ginger Coconut Canine Cookies
Yields 20-40
½ cup pumpkin puree
2 eggs, beaten
2 tablespoons virgin, unrefined coconut oil, softened
2 teaspoons raw honey
½ cup plus 3 tablespoons coconut flour
1 teaspoon ground ginger
½ teaspoon ground cinnamon
1. Preheat oven to 350ºF.
2. In a mixing bowl, whisk the pumpkin, eggs, coconut oil,and honey until smooth. Mix in the coconut flour and spices. The dough will be moist and may look crumbly.
3. Line a cookie sheet with parchment paper.
4. Scoop teaspoons of the dough and roll or gently form into 1-inch balls in your hand. Place on the paper.
5. Bake for 20 minutes. Cool completely, then store in the refrigerator or freezer.

Catnip and Sardine Cat Treats
Yields about 200
Recipe by Angie Shultz, Angie’s Animal & Pet Sitting Service
½ cup quinoa flour
½ cup brown rice flour (you could also make these with oat flour)
1 tablespoon dried catnip
4 4.75-ounce cans of sardines, in water or oil, undrained
¼ cup parsley
1 egg
½ tablespoon olive oil
1. Preheat oven to 350ºF. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
2. Blend all of the ingredients in a food processor until combined.
3. From into ½-inch balls or pack into a silicone baking mold (½ teaspoon measure) and bake for 10-12 minutes.
4. Remove from oven and mold; allow to cool. Store in the refrigerator for a week or freeze and use as needed.
Easily make your own quinoa, rice, or oat flour by pulsing in your coffee grinder or high power blender. Be sure the correct amount of handmade flour is being added into the recipe.

Peanut Butter Banana Dog Treats
Yields 14-16
1 egg
¼ cup all-natural peanut butter
¼ cup mashed banana
1 tablespoon honey
1 ¼ cups whole wheatwhite flour
¼ cup wheat germ
¼ cup quick cooking oats
Flour for kneading
1. In a medium mixing bowl, stir the egg, peanut butter, banana, and honey until smooth.
2. Add 1 cup of flour, wheat germ and oats to the peanut butter mixture and combine. The dough will be sticky.
3. Knead, adding more flour, on a well-floured surface until firm. Roll to ¼-inch thickness and cut into desired pieces.
4. Place cookies on a lightly greased or parchment-lined baking sheet and bake in a 300ºF oven for 25-30 minutes, based on the cookie size, until golden. Turn the oven off, open the oven door, and allow the cookies to cool.
