At Knickers Pub, Susquehanna Valley residents can experience a new interpretation of the classic Old Fashioned cocktail, with a local and seasonal twist. James Pastucha, mixologist at this golfer’s hot spot just off the greens of Heritage Hills Golf Resort, worked with the experts at Old Republic Distillery to develop an innovative drink that makes use of York County’s harvest bounty. Old Republic Distillery, located in Seven Valleys, uses local products whenever possible during the creation of their handcrafted, small-batch distilled spirits. In Knickers’ Apple Pie Old Fashioned, Old Republic’s Apple Pie Moonshine is combined with muddled orange and cherry, angostura bitters and a splash of club soda, creating a refreshing cocktail with the warm spice aromas of autumn. Swing by Knickers Pub next time you’re in the mood for a fall-flavored beverage, or stop in Old Republic Distillery to pick up a bottle and mix your own with the recipe left.
