Wildwood Park Wildwood Way, Harrisburg, Pennsylvania 17110
Conservation has a long and lasting history in
Pennsylvania, with such noted names as Rachel Carson and Gifford Pinchot hailing from this fine state. Marci Mowery, president of the Pennsylvania Parks and Forests Foundation, will explore the life and work of Maurice K. Goddard, often referred to as the father of Pennsylvania’s state parks. Serving under six administrations, Goddard’s work touched the lives of not just those residing in the commonwealth, but nationally through his vision and leadership in public lands, water quality, and forestry.
