Presentation: "The Unyielding Earth: Women of Color Feminism and Cold War Fictions"
Bishop Library, Lebanon Valley College N. College Avenue, Annville, Pennsylvania 17003
Professor Parikh is a scholar of transnational feminism. She studies how U.S. feminist culture symbolically reaches beyond the borders of the nation to imagine resistant forms of subjectivity and transnational alliances. This transnational focus directly connects the local, U.S. feminist movements with the global, transnational notions of social justice, equality, and subjectivity.
Dr. Parikh is appearing in conjunction with the Symposium Course English 392: Crossing Boundaries, which studies boundaries within U.S. literatures and culture and the ways they overlap and reflect boundaries of cultural, national, racial, and gendered identities.
The event will take place in the Bishop Library Atrium at LVC.
