This course will offer deep insight into the Buddhist view of our mind, and show how an understanding of its nature and functions can be used practically in everyday life to improve our state of mind, our well-being, and even our relationships. The course will include:
-An explanation of the nature and function of the mind
-Guided meditation to deepen our understanding of our own mind
-Advice for how to use our understanding of our own mind to solve our daily problems

Everyone is welcome to attend. No previous experience with Buddhism or meditation required.
This course will be taught by Meditation Teacher James Izer-Bowman. James came to a meditation class in York in 2001 to complete a college class assignment and has been studying and practicing Kadampa Buddhism ever since. After helping to start the Foundation Program in Harrisburg, he joined the Teacher Training Program. He is known for his quiet warmth and ability to put complex concepts into everyday language that everyone can relate to.
