Introduction to Sewing

If you have a sewing machine that you would like to become better friends with, this is the course for you!  In this class that is geared toward beginners, students will learn and practice basic sewing skills and techniques.  The instructor will guide you through simple projects while learning about seams, zippers, gathers, and pleats.  The final project will include a purchased pattern and fabric of the student’s choice.  NOTE: Students are required to have a portable sewing machine to bring to each class.  Cost of this course includes materials and supplies needed for course work with the exception of the final project.

We are offering two sections in order to accomdate varying schedule needs:

Section 01: Tuesday, July 8 – August 5, 9:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m., 5 sessions

Section 02: Tuesday/Thursday, July 8 – August 7, 6:00 – 9:00 p.m., 10 sessions
