Pennsylvania Guild Center of American Craft, Lanc. N. Queen St., Lancaster, Pennsylvania 17603
Skill Level: All levels, all artists welcome! Dinner and Art Series Join us for an inspirational evening of rekindling the flame of creativity, inspiration, and expression as we learn how to overcome artist block through food, observation, and immersion in quality restorative group exercises. Part I: Personal Chef Christopher Gage begins the evening with a gourmet meal of Chicken Marbella – chicken marinated in garlic, olives, and capers, baked in a white wine sauce – followed by oven roasted baby zucchini, eggplant and green beans. Dessert brings rich chocolate cream cheese ice cream served in a handmade pizzelle chocolate dipped cup. Part II: After participants immerse themselves in the smells, colors, and sounds of a handmade gourmet meal, Holly Gage leads students through an interactive action plan of seeing, experiencing, exploring, playing and taking control of their own inspiration and creativity. Participants are reminded how to sum up their inspirations from thoughts and ideas into artistic creations. This workshop offers the tools necessary to overcome artist’s block and periods of frustration and immobility – and come out the other side a more confident and capable thinker, executor, and artist. Join this interactive presentation to discover fresh new ideas for creating an action plan that snuffs out the doubts and helps you along a new path of creative discovery.
