AMERICANA-NA was formed in 2014 by lifelong friends Brian, Tyson and Jon. The three met at school in the late 1980s. Their self titled debut recording of self described "garage folk" was released July 2015. Since then the band has extensively expanded their catalog of original songs covering an array of everyday relatable subject matter such as American culture, relationships, government, littering, joblessness, the media, being in a band and more. Several short tours have taken the band as far as Austin, TX and Duluth, MN as well as several other cities in the midwest.
The trio has played many local and regional clubs but considers Kirby's Beer Store in Wichita their home turf. Along with the club scene they have played many all age venues and more subdued sets for specific atmospheres.
In late 2016, four songs were recorded for a 7 inch record that is due out late spring 2017. The multi-song single includes the songs "I'd Be Saved," "Winky Face," "More Plastic, Less Fish" and the title track "Entertainment Tonight." They will be on tour this June with the new record in tow.
