The Theme: Signaled by the modern, elegant invitation suite, this winter evening wedding featured rose gold, blush, navy, and cream, with orchids, lighted skyscapes, faceted goblets, and a Lancaster holiday look. The details: Creamy white orchids cascaded off tables and dangled from ceilings, intermingled with festive lighting. Artful touches included a geometric display for the pink champagne favors, and pearls in the bouquets. A sophisticated white fondant cake was adorned with edible pearls, a rose-gold glitter band, and soft, pale pink rosettes. Touching toasts and the great band got everyone up, filling the dance floor. The threads: The bride’s silk faille mermaid-cut dress featured off-the-shoulder straps, a contemporary outline and buttons down the low-cut back. Her heart set on clean lines and minimal frills, she finally found this beauty in NYC. Its frothy cathedral veil trailed glamorously beyond the dress. A fur jacket with glittery heels and Jimmy Choo clutch accessorized. Bridesmaids mixed and matched in blush gowns, from full-sequined columns to subtle-sparkle Grecian sheaths. Custom rings, with a deep violet tanzanite surrounded by diamonds, were the amazing standout. The Find: Fun “selfie” mirror, courtesy of DJ Freez. The Hitch: Five of the bridal party getting locked in on the third floor and forgotten about after everyone went home! The Getaway: Sky-jumping off a tall building, a huge bungee swing, and more in New Zealand, and mostly relaxation, except for swimming with sharks in Bora Bora.
