The theme: Old Hollywood glamour, summoned to life with blush, gold and glittering elements. Vows at the spectacular state capitol.
The details: Self-styling it all, the bride caught the eye of glamour.com and the Adrianna Papell line. Nods to the Steelers and to Jordan Dionne’s Penn State sorority, with 50 sisters singing at the reception. A seriously stretchy limo. Pink lighting warming up the reception tones. Blooms submerged in tall vases, offering up a glass tray of sweets. A sparkling, golden cake and a “LOVE” marquee.
The proposal: Jordan Michael is so supportive of Jordan Dionne’s dream to pursue acting (she was a child actor) they picked up and moved to LA. Back home, he proposed via writing on a plate of Bonefish Grill’s Bang Bang Shrimp. “If we could survive living in a cramped studio apartment in LA for a year and still be in love,” he says, “I knew we should get married.”
The threads: The bride’s strapless Lazaro sherbet gown featured a sensational, jewel-encrusted waistband and chapel-length train. Diamonds shimmered on her left hand, gems shone in her bouquet, and rhinestone heels gleamed under her gossamer skirt. A sleek, shimmery second dress made an appearance. Floral headbands graced two flower girls carrying pomanders in dresses custom-matched to the bride’s. Bridesmaids’ intricate, radiant dresses glowed, and the men (plus the adorable ring bearer) rocked Euro-cut Vera Wang tuxes, with the groom’s natty pocket square as a signature standout.
