By early April, we are all anxiously awaiting the arrival of warm weather. Some years it comes earlier than others, but the day that the temperature is high enough for us to enjoy our favorite outdoor activities is always a great day! Here are the Style Staff’s favorite outdoor activities:
“I’m ready to dig in the dirt! Nothing better than using your hands to get the garden soil ready.” - Rick Cochran, associate publisher
“This coaster my coworker Bri gave me pretty much sums it up! No seriously, I enjoy camping because my husband does all the work, our daughter explores nature, and I sit back and relax and unplug (and read lots of magazines of course).” - Keely Childers Heany, editor-in-chief
“Not that I do it very often, but I love white water rafting. But on an average day, I love to sit out on the patio in the morning with a freshly brewed cup of coffee and a good read (and in the evening I like to enjoy an adult beverage with family and friends).” - Sue Ottenheimer, senior account executive
“Gardening! My family and I love choosing what veggies we are going to plant each year; we always try to add in something new.” - Erica Keene, account executive
“I enjoy going to my local plant nursery, Ashcombs Greenhouse in Mechanicsburg, and looking for new things to plant in my garden.” - Joyce Kutzner, account executive
“I’m excited to be able to run outside (the treadmill can be pretty boring!), enjoy some picnics, and explore more local parks! ” - Katie Walmer, art director
“I love to be in, or around, the river! The Susquehanna is a hidden gem that every Central Pennsylvanian should explore. I can’t wait until it’s warm enough to rent a kayak or SUP from Shank’s Mare.” - Bri Burkhart, marketing and events coordinator
